Makeover Bags June 5, 2007

Was clearing some ‘rubbish’ in the hse today, when I landed upon these 2 goodies bags fr Qantas, which were given to the girls during the flight.

I decided to give them a makeover. First I removed all tags and labels, then I searched high & low for 2 little soft toys and put my creativity to work. Bingo! Here are the ‘after-makeover’ pics of the bags:

MAAD June 2, 2007

Drop by MAAD mkt at 12noon today. Dunno was it too early, tt there weren’t too many stalls or crowd.

Majority of the stalls were selling costume jeweleries and accessories, only a few caught my attention to look at what they were selling. We only spent abt half an hr there and we left empty handed.

Though location is vy near to Tanjong Pagar MRT, but the crowd is not there. It wld b gd if the mkt can shift to Esplanade, and get more artists, designers and musicians to showcase their talents.

Friday has become our fmy’s movie day at home. Lights off, and we start to munch tit-bits … yah, vy unhealthy.

Ytd screening was “Akeelah and the Bee”. GG cldn’t understand (u see, a lot of talking, not those action kind), so she fell asleep near the end of the show. An average movie, I wld say. Only tt it got chim chim words tt we oso chked mentally if we cld spell them πŸ™‚ .

Anyone got other DVD to lend me???

Quote by Marianne Williamson:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Mechatronica (in conjunction with Singapore Arts Festival 2007) March 29, 2007

While browsing Esplanade’s programmes in my email, I came across Mechatronica fr Japan.

What is Mechatronica??? I wondered. So, I clicked on the Esplanade’s link to view the clips on their performance and behind the scenes.

Wow!!! From designing and making the instruments to setting up the performance, the whole process looked so tedious and challenging. These pple must hv super great passion in what they are doing.

Thot of catching their only one show at Esplanade on 8 June, 730pm. Anyone wants to go? Ahem, ticket at $38+ pax, early bird package of 4 at $130+ (ie $32.50+), student $28+.

And their website is at Mechatronica.
